Let’s get rhyming with Dr. Seuss! Here’s a quick printable Dr. Seuss rhyming recording sheet to work on reading short cvc words and recording rhyming words. This is a great follow up activity to reading Fox in Socks by Dr. Seuss. This rhyme and record sheet was designed for kindergarten.
Dr. Seuss Rhyming Worksheet
Print the cvc rhyming word cards that are shaped like socks onto construction paper and put into a station for a small group of students to use. They read the words and find a rhyming match. When they discover the match, they record the words that rhyme onto their worksheet.
Copy one of the pairs (or both) onto colored construction paper so that when students find a match they color the paper color onto their sheet for an additional step. Or make it self-checking with both pairs being printed on the same color paper…
