Measurement Conversion Trick – Multiply or Divide

If you can teach students to apply a basic rule, then they can use this trick to learn whether to multiply or divide when converting measurements. Students will make their arms into a multiplication sign or a division sign based on whether the measure being converted is bigger or smaller. The placement of the arms above or below their head is how they know which sign to use.
