Glow and Grow Teaching Strategy for Self Reflection

Students take both a yellow and a green highlighter to their completed work. They highlight the strengths and their weakness areas compared to the assignment rubric. Add to this self reflection component by having students explain their marks. As students repeatedly assess their own work, they will begin to do this as they work, improving their work quality and reducing repeated errors.
