With spring around the corner, it’s time to connect art into science! Here is a beautiful flower art project for kids using watercolors and oil pastels using simple shapes. Students in any grade can draw the focus of their life science explorations like these gorgeous flowers.

Flower Art Project With Watercolors

Students start with a circle to create their flower center. They add details with oil pastels to keep the lines visible. They finish by painting all available space to the edge of the paper – creating a gorgeous watercolor flower. You could do this with pumpkins, penguins or anything! Also it would make a beautiful, unique art piece for Mother’s Day.
