Math games are perfect for teaching beginning addition to kindergarten students. Here is a simple partner game that can easily be differentiated.

It’s called grab-bag addition and this cool math game requires little set up and includes a printable recording sheet.

Math Games – Grab Bag Addition

Students work in partners to put a number of objects into a brown paper bag.

They record their equations and predict the number of objects all together in the bag before checking their work. You can differentiate by assigning the number of objects they work with.

It’s a math game that can start discussion on using math strategies!
