Want a different way to display birthdays in the classroom? Here is a scatter graph in kindergarten that shows the birthdays by calendar month. You’ll find it easy to change out every year and it will be a learning tool to refer to over the entire year as students work on measurement and data standards.

Birthdays Made Math Based and Simple

Each year, create a scatter graph as a learning activity. Use any die cuts or birthday cut outs that you have lying around and add student names to each one. Work with the class to add the correct names under the correct months.

Analyze the graph and refer to it frequently as a source of reference. Use wall space like under a white board, along cupboards or above windows as a place to display the 12 calendar months.
