You can have headbands ready to go or you could let your students color theirs in.

These “I rocked the first day of school” headbands look really cute printed on (affiliate) bright paper or even construction paper.

But, you can forego the colored paper and just go with white too. Students can wear them as is or add a bit of color to their crown too.

You can staple the printable crown/topper to any size headband strap you want to make. Some teachers opt to use a sentence strip since they are readily available and require no cutting.

Other teachers like to make headband straps with brads so they are expandable and there’s no sizing needed.

There are two crown headband toppers to a page and shouldn’t take too much time to cut out (if you did them all) since the shape is decently simple.

If you have first or second grade students, you could have them cut out the headband front by themselves and you only need to cut the crowns apart from each other on the paper cutter in your workroom.
