M&M Graphing Activity

March 9, 2015 by Teach Junkie

Create a yummy graphing chart with M&M’s. Here is a graphing activity to coordinate with a chocolate theme when reading books in the classroom like Chocolate Fever and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. This printable graphing sheet has all of the colors of the normal bag of M&M’s.

Graphing the Colors of M&M’s

Students sort a handful or any amount of M&M’s. They count each number of M&M’s in the color group. Then they color or make a mark in the color columns up to 15. Students repeat until the graph is complete and all M&M’s have been accounted for. Then, part of the fun is eating the chocolate candies afterwards!
