Bowling Fun: Subtraction from 10

Practice subtraction from 10 with this fun bowling game. Set up a quick and easy bowling alley (or multiple ones) in your classroom to do bowling subtraction. This quick and easy first grade activity will make sure that everyone gets different questions on their worksheet and has lots of turns to practice math.

Subtraction from 10 Bowling Activity

All you need to set up this activity is the free, printable download (included in the link), a decently weighted ball like a tennis ball and dixie cups. With 10 cups for each group, they set up the cups in a triangle formation just like a real bowling alley. Students work with a partner to solve the equation and check their work against the “pins.”
